2. iOS Deletion Requests

If you are an iOS user, you may request account deletion in the App. Although you may request account deletion at any time in the App, your subscription ends when you return the Vehicle with 28 days’ notice pursuant to our Subscription Terms of Service or when we terminate your subscription in accordance with our Subscription Terms of Service.  Our account deletion process takes time to complete because you must complete the returns process requirements in our Subscription Terms of Service before we can process your deletion request.  Once the returns process is completed, we will process your deletion request within a reasonable period of time.

Please read the following prior to submitting your deletion request:

  • Deleting your account does not relieve you of your obligation to pay account balances due at the time your subscription ends.
  • Deleting your account does not relieve you of your obligation to provide 28 days notice prior to canceling subscription.
  • A deletion request does not serve as notice of intent to cancel subscription. You must provide 28 days notice as required under our Subscription Terms of Service.
  • Your billing will  continue until you complete the returns process required in our Subscription Terms of Service
  • We will delete your account and data in accordance with our policies and the applicable law.  We will retain data to the extent required under the applicable law.

If you wish to proceed, you may request account deletion by filling out a deletion request form here.

If you are an Android user, you may cancel your subscription with 28 days notice. See our Subscription Terms of Service for more details on subscription cancellation.

3. Data We Collect.

We collect information from you in a variety of ways. The three ways we collect personal or non personal information from you are listed below. More information can be found under Section 4: How We Collect Data.

  • Personal Information you provide us
  • Information we collect from from you by using our services
  • Information our third party services provide

"Personal information" is defined as any information that you may provide to us that can be used to identify you individually, including, but not limited to, contact information, home address, images, fax numbers, driver license number, state identification card number, bank account number, credit card or debit card number, passport number, alien registration number, location data, as well as any company account number that we assign to you.

You can use certain Services to obtain certain information without revealing any personally identifiable information. During these types of visits, we may collect, analyze, or share such information on an anonymized basis. We use this information to generate statistics and measure the activity of our Services in order to improve the usefulness of the Services and the customer experience.

Biometric Information.  Autonomy uses biometric information by having users submit a picture of their driver’s license and a selfie picture of themselves to confirm their identity prior to applying for an Autonomy vehicle. Autonomy uses the images to confirm identity, prevent fraud, and improve accuracy. One method of verification includes comparing the faces in the submitted pictures through the use of facial geometry. As the verification process scans the geometry of the face in the pictures, the derivative information may be deemed to be biometric information. As part of our verification method, Autonomy or its vendor compares the submitted pictures with each other as well as the user’s account information.

4. How We Collect Data.

Provided by You. When you use our Services, we collect personal information that you provide as part of account creation, via forms, applications, surveys, and other online fields during your usage of the Services. We also collect information from third party vendors using information you provide to us. This information may include, but is not limited to, your name, postal or email address, Social Security number, and mobile telephone number(s).

Information Collected Passively. We may passively collect information such as browser data, ISP, operating system, access date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information to improve our Services.

We and third parties may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, tags, and other tracking technologies (“Tracking Technologies”) to help us gather statistical information that does not include personally identifiable information in order to improve your experience with our Services, save your preferences, and to serve you better offers. Cookies are pieces of information that a website or mobile device application transfers to an individual's devices or drives to track application and user activity. These Tracking Technologies may be used to track you across devices and websites over time. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies and session IDs, but you may be able to disable cookies by making the appropriate selection from your browser options. Note that by doing so, the functionality of our Services may be limited.

Additionally, we use data analytics tools like Google Analytics and other third-party technologies to understand how users interact with our advertisements and Services. For more information, you can visit Google’s website under "How Google Uses Information From Sites Or Apps That Use Our Services". You can opt out of Google’s use of cookies or device identifiers by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You may also opt out of receiving certain advertising tailored to you from third parties. If you would like to learn more about opting out of behavioral advertising please visit: http://www.youradchoices.com or  https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Please note that options you select may be browser and device specific.

We adhere to the Digital Advertising Alliance’s ("DAA") Self-Regulatory Principles. We may partner with third party companies that collect web viewing data from our Services as well as from other non-affiliated websites and mobile apps over time in order to determine preferences and to deliver more relevant advertising to your browser or device, as well as browsers and devices associated with you. This type of advertising is known as interest-based advertising. For example, we use Facebook Pixel and related Facebook business tools that may allow third parties, including Facebook, to use Tracking Technologies to collect or receive information from our Services and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads. To learn more about this type of advertising for your browser, and your choices about it for companies that participate in the Digital Advertising Alliance’s ("DAA") WebChoices tool, you can visit www.aboutads.info/choices. To learn about your choices about this activity on your mobile device for companies that participate in the DAA’s AppChoices you can download the appropriate version of the app from www.youradchoices.com/appchoices. When you exercise choice through these tools, data will no longer be collected from that browser or device for interest-based advertising, and data collected from associated browsers or devices will not be used on the browser or device for interest-based advertising on the browser or device where choice was exercised. Opting out of interest-based advertising will not opt you out of all advertising, but rather only interest-based advertising from us or our agents or representatives.

Protecting the confidentiality and security of your personal information is important to us. We maintain safeguards that comply with applicable federal and state standards. We restrict access to the personal information obtained via our App or website to only those employees, agents, and contractors who need it to do their jobs. If you choose to complete and submit a request for a vehicle with us, or to access your account through our App, your personally identifiable information will be transmitted via a secure method. We also require our service providers with whom we contract to protect customer information, and to use the information they collect or receive for the sole purpose of providing the services they provide for us. Biometric data. Images used for verification will be immediately deleted by our vendor after the verification process is completed. Autonomy may retain this information as allowed or required by law. Autonomy will permanently destroy biometric information within 3 years of the end of the last subscription to an Autonomy vehicle, unless otherwise required by law.
